Hey, my name is KAryn M.
✨ **Hi, I’m Karyn — the heart behind Knot & Wing Photography.** ✨
I realized it had been a while since I introduced myself around here, so whether you’re new to my page or you’ve been following along for years… **welcome. 🤍**
I’m a North Texas photographer specializing in families, motherhood, newborns, seniors, and the beautiful, sometimes wonderfully chaotic seasons in between.
But photography, for me, has never just been about getting everyone to look at the camera and smile.
It’s about meeting them where they are.
The little hand wrapped around yours.
The way your toddler still fits on your hip.
The belly laughs. The bear hugs. The personalities.
And yes… even the child who absolutely does *not* want to sit still and smile for me. 😂
Before photography, I spent more than 11 years working with children with special needs, and that experience has shaped so much of the photographer I am today. I believe every child deserves to be photographed in a way that honors who they are — without pressure to perform or fit into someone else’s idea of the “perfect” family photo.
I’m also a military spouse, a mom, and someone who knows firsthand just how quickly the seasons of family life change.
That’s a huge part of why "Knot & Wing" means so much to me.
The "Knot" represents the ties that hold us together — family, connection, love, and belonging.
The "Wing" represents childhood, growth, change, and eventually… letting them fly. 🪽
My goal is to create photographs that feel like **your family** — beautiful, genuine, connected and full of life.
Because someday, these won’t just be pretty pictures.
They’ll be proof of how little they once were.
How tightly they hugged you.
How they looked at you.
And what this season of your family felt like.
If you’re new here, I’d love to meet you!
